Dr Liz Browne is an Emeritus Professor of Education at Oxford Brookes University. Following a long career in education working in schools, colleges, universities and with government, she is now spending her time researching the past and critiquing the present. She splits her time between Oxford and London, where her four grandchildren live, and can often be found researching in the National Archives at Kew. She is an avid tennis player, walker, and reader.
