Jonathan Phoinex worked in emergency services for almost two decades. He was a second-generation fire fighter following in his father's footsteps when he turned eighteen. He was a certified IFSAC (International Fire Service Accreditation Congress) Fire Instructor, a 911 Dispatcher and certified Emergency Medical Technician. He left active service several years ago due to his struggle with PTSD but still supports local departments however he can. He now lives in the South Carolina Low Country with his spouse and two children. He currently attends Purdue Global University, where he is completing his Bachelor's in Emergency Management.
