
Jimmy Cela was born in Tirana, Albania, and now resides in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Ph.D. and an M.S. degree. He works as a statistician and has authored several literary books in Albanian, including the collection of novellas Roosevelt Island (2013), the novel A Waker for You (2017), the collection of novellas Embryology (2016), which won the Albanian prize ‘Kadare', the collection of fictional stories The Grasses of Evil (2019), and the novel Hotel Bahnhof (2022).
