Jill Austin
Jill was a primary teacher for many years, covering the whole range of 5- to 11-year-olds. She also taught English to foreign students of all ages. The poems were written in lockdown when she could be very focussed. The ideas and first lines often came in the early hours of the morning. Jill lives in a hill-top village in Bucks with badgers almost on her doorstep.
