Ges France
Ges was born in Welwyn Garden City and attended Heronswood School and later Mid Herts College of Further Education, where he became a qualified Laboratory Technician and Lab Manager. At age 21, he left the UK to play ragtime blues guitar overseas and did shows in folk clubs and concert halls in New Zealand, South Africa and Rhodesia.
After returning to the UK after two years, he did a number of jobs before training as a casino croupier. After a couple of years, he travelled back to South Africa to work in casinos there. He remained in the casino business in South Africa until 1995, when he moved to Asia, finally opening casino operations in many Asian countries. He later retired to live on a game reserve in Africa.
