Born 1942. Early life in Norfolk, where his father and grandfather helped found the Horsford Cricket Club in the 1940s, which is now the home of Norfolk County Cricket Club. Played for Norfolk at sixteen. At seventeen, played for England Schools at Lords. A year later, disaster struck, when through over-coaching, lost the ability to bowl fast. Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and successful management and involvement of large construction projects in the UK and around the world. Now lives in Holt, Norfolk.
