Born on the Wirral and educated in Penarth, South Wales. Attended Teacher Training College in Bedford. Taught for twenty-nine years in Worcestershire, Berkshire and West Yorkshire. Spent one year in Seattle, U.S.A., as an Exchange Teacher. Now happily retired and enjoying life.
