
Born in 1964 in Famagusta, Ba?aran Düzgün completed his primary and secondary education in Cyprus. He graduated from Gazi University, School of Press and Broadcasting, Department of Journalism and Public Relations in 1988, in Ankara. He began his career as a reporter at Yenidüzen newspaper in 1990 and continued at Kibris newspaper as chief editor in 1994. He has six published books. During his tenure as Chief Editor of Kibris Newspaper, he survived a bombing attack. He faced prosecution and a ten-year imprisonment demand for his writings. His entry into Turkey was banned because of his writings. In 2009, together with a group of journalists, he founded Havadis Newspaper. He established the Havadis Publishing House and helped bring numerous books to publication.
