Barbara only came to writing in her seventies when she found that she had many tales to tell about her early life and growing up as a child in an RAF family. The urge to travel was instilled into her then and she continues to follow that passion. She now lives happily at the foot of the Dandenong Ranges, in Victoria, Australia, where she writes her books and travel stories and looks forward to what her next destination has in store for her.
She was once a practicing nurse and midwife but has had many other roles in her life: solo parent amongst them. She had a stroke in late 2018 which she not only survived and recovered from, but used as a springboard to begin a whole new phase in her life, in which writing has become a principal endeavour.
