After working for an auctioneer and running a furniture shop, the arrival of her daughter gave her time to start developing what had been a great love since her early teens, dressmaking. The idea was a success and she produced many beautiful garments to her clients delight. In her fifties, she developed arthritis so unable to sew; she started thinking and returned to another love, dreaming up stories.
