Alisha McMillen

Alisha McMillen is a fifty-something mom of twins, adapting to being an empty-nester after her girls left for college. They were her inspiration for this story, which sat dusty in her brain for about fifteen years. When her girls were little, the three of them were in the car often, driving between home, pre-school, and activities. They used the time to make up stories. One daughter would choose two animals and a location, the other would choose two animals and the weather. And that's how A Dog Named Chuck was born. Alisha lives in Sugar Land, Texas, with her husband John and two goofy dogs.
