Alan Blackwood

Alan Blackwood was a publishing editor for many years before he moved to the other side of the desk as the author of numerous books and other features on music. More recently still he has turned to fiction. A number of his very short stories (flash fiction) have already appeared in print, and a collection of these pieces is being prepared for publication. Writer's Cramp is his first full-length work.

About Book

This is no conventional novel. Set in the pre-computer age of publishing, of typewriters, galley proofs and printer's ink, it is based on the author's own experiences. It is also a kaleidoscope of portraits, scenes and situations, images and ideas, underlined by a story of love and loss. Alan Blackwood writes with an unflagging pace, energy and imagination from first word to last, while carrying the novel in a fascinating new direction.
