Deep beneath the earth, Thousand Boil still lives, as he has for centuries.
To while away the time, he tells stories, stories of his family from times long gone.
In this instalment of his family history, he tells of how his uncle and father became caught up in the ancient wars of Europe.
How, when the King of Italy called out the King of England for a duel, there was an attempt to rally the Kings of Ireland, Scotland, and Wales to his aid, as it was clearly a play for the crown. The King of Wales is friends with the King of Italy.
But in the Italian ranks were soldiers of Irish blood, and when the King of Italy made a play for the Irish King, they mutinied, it seemed like the overwhelmingly outnumbered British forces might have a chance.
Especially if Thousand Boil's family could just get there in time to save the day.
