Lonely dragon, Jack's life is about to be changed forever when he encounters humans for the first time. He acts swiftly to save young Daisy's life from wild boar while she is out in the hills of southern Spain with her friend Rory. Dragons seek wherever possible to help humans while remaining invisible and this is a skill that Jack still has to learn. Jack discovers he and Rory have much in common with both having a lot of time on their hands, seemingly abandoned by their parents. Rory and Daisy are thrust suddenly into the world of dragons, its many colourful characters with supernatural talents and the fierce power struggle between Jack's father, Nervak, and his bitter rival, the ruthless Manchu. When Rory's parents unexpectedly announce a family skiing holiday in the Chilean Andes hidden perils and challenges await.

Gail MacGregor

I was born in Scotland where I worked as a solicitor before moving to Spain in 2004. There I qualified as an English teacher, started my own language school and taught English for twelve years. I now work as an International Repatriation Consultant for my son-in-law in a small village called Coín. I live there with my husband, nine dogs and one cat, next door to an organic fruit farm, where there are several dragons guarding the produce! My experiences in both Scotland and Spain helped me write this novel.
