Juan Carlos Wardito de Chivonez II

Born and raised in Havana, Juan Carlos Wardito de Chivonez II came to Yorkshire, aged eight, in the early seventies when his family were deported for non-payment of sugar cane tax. Settling in Pudsey, where ‘t'ducks fly backward', he started writing punk poetry and then humorous Christmas messages to entertain his friends at work.

His classic line, "Your Xmas belly is full of grease, hers is full of turkey and that is never a good mix. Ask a Cypriot," still gets a laugh today.

The Three Amigos is his first novel.

About Book

Who are The Three Amigos? What are they doing in Bradford in the early eighties?
Juan Carlos Wardito de Chivonez II invites you to meet The Three Amigos in an amusing semi-biographical tale of three friends growing up with tales of love, lust, friendship and life. His risqué descriptions of life in working class West Yorkshire leave little to the imagination, as he follows their lives through adolescence, from youth to maturity. From spit and sawdust pubs to casinos, football to narcotics, The Three Amigos has it all.
