Quenks are little jungle pigs (Collared Peccaries) who live in the South American jungle and the Island of Trinidad. They live in large family groups and forage on the jungle floor for anything edible, particularly fruit and insects. They are very timid and easily frightened, as they are natural prey for any large predators such as jaguars - and of course humans! In this story, Mr and Mrs Quenk and their children decide to give a party for all their jungle friends. All are invited, except the jaguar - who might be tempted to eat all the guests! We also meet Granny Quenk and lots of jungle animals, and even fish from the Amazon!
