About Book

The Phoenix Scream is an odyssey of woe, heartbreak and pathos, but it is also an expression of love, strength and perseverance. The Phoenix Scream is a collection of poetry by Ukrainian-born Violeta Kovalska. Here, she records her personal journey of burgeoning love and painful separation, of how she struggled with the adjustment and motherhood as a now single mother. A work fit for all feminists and for those facing a similar plight of divorce to draw inspiration. Even in the darkest of times, there is light and strength to draw from, something Violeta knows all too well. In Violeta's own words, The Phoenix Scream is for ‘all women, daughters, mothers and grandmothers who struggle with disease and suffering'. Indeed, ‘The female phoenix embodies the cruelty in a woman's life and her rebirth'.
