The Misadventures of Maddox Murr: Vol 1

Little Maddox has no friends, because the other children think he is weird, but he invites them to his tenth birthday party all the same. He is most upset when nobody comes and decides to teach them a lesson by casting a nasty spell on them, which he learns from a shaman. But he makes a mistake and although the spell appears not to have worked, he discovers that his parents are missing and his old toy unicorn has come to life and turned into a bully.
