Joe Monaghan is a newcomer to writing, having had pastimes in golf and in making sculpture for bronze art. Now retired after thirty years as a quantity surveyor in the building industry and thirty years as a wholesale supplier of greeting cards, he lives with his wife Mary between an apartment in Dublin and an apartment in Marbella, Spain. They have three sons, two grandsons, and, at the end, five granddaughters. Joe was born and lived on a farm in the Irish midlands, where there is a solid belief in the faeries among his neighbours, as well as a healthy respect for the powers they possess.
