Nathan Craig

Craig is a father of three, a husband of one and a professional of nothing. Somehow over the last fifteen years, Craig has found fleeting moments where he could actually turn the chaotic ramblings of his inner voice into something that could be mistaken as a children's book. Craig used his children's baby toys as inspiration for the characters. Making up stories from their toys and one day thinking he should write these down sometime.
And he did.
From a story of a pirate octopus helping a stranded penguin fisherman came more and more, and more stories following The Adventures of Captain 8-Leg and his crew.
Having won no awards, and having no credentials of any kind to his name, in literacy or art, Craig has nothing to boast about, except the biased plaudits from his mum. Craig has taken a different approach to the colouring book theme, by having parts of the illustrations purposely left colourless to encourage reading. His hope is that children will want to read the story along with the pictures and use the chance to colour them in as an incentive or a reward.
Living in the bottom right hand corner of England, in an area that is full of stories of people almost invading, but not quite, has fuelled Craig's love of history.
Equally, Craig has a fascination for folklore and fairytales, myths and legends, and even absolute codswallop.
As with most stories, the interesting and memorable parts, are always the most bonkers.
