I was born in Northern Ireland, the youngest of five children. My family moved to England when I was six years old. I had an average education, started work as a gardener, even have some qualifications in gardening. Eventually I had to leave to due ill health. I worked in a library for some years. I always had an interest in writing stories since my school days. I married, had two children, both leading their own lives now. My wife died of cancer some years back. So I live alone at present. I have one close friend, whom I've known since school.
