Martin Gallagher

I was born in Northern Ireland, the youngest of five children. My family moved to England when I was six years old. I had an average education, started work as a gardener, even have some qualifications in gardening. Eventually I had to leave to due ill health. I worked in a library for some years. I always had an interest in writing stories since my school days. I married, had two children, both leading their own lives now. My wife died of cancer some years back. So I live alone at present. I have one close friend, whom I've known since school.

About Book

Short Stories does exactly what it says on the tin. This anthology of tales whisks the reader away into a plethora of environs and delves into the depths of fantasy and romance and a touch of the mystique. With Short Stories prepare to embark on an adventure through fairy-tale castles, the struggles of a soothsaying child, a cynical ghost-hunter in search of a real story and a glimmer of hope, two star-crossed lovers caught up in a not-so-chance meeting all the way to the life of the majestic wolf struggling to survive on winter plains. If it is tales of love and woe, of magic and macabre, Short Stories is only a turn of the page away.
