About Book

This is the story of 'The Stories', a cool, cult, loud rock band from Edinburgh, just too under the radar and on the periphery for their own good. Last Year is, as it states right there on the cover, all about things coming to a dramatic head for them between Hogmanay and Xmas. In our gang of four, the best of friends, there is guitarist Sam, afro Hendrix dude who loves Miko and works as an accountant, hates his new boss, and wonders about his best friend. On drums we have Dmitri, Polish and muscular, with a girlfriend who strips and makes up and breaks up with him, driving this railway engineer to distraction. Ruth plays bass. She is blonde, English, an NHS nurse, and about to fall slowly for somebody outside the band in spite of herself. Calvin is the singer. Beautiful, enigmatic, outspoken. All roads in 'The Stories' lead back to him.
