About Book

Mike seems to have it all - an exciting career in journalism covering the Arts internationally and living in a city relaxed about his sexuality. When Mike meets Vincent, friendship quickly blooms, and by summer's end they have become an item.

It should have been the best of times but, unbeknown to Mike, the worst has happened already
For Vincent is a disturbed young man. Soon their love is overshadowed by Vincent's troubled past where muscular Christianity looms large, where the controversial ‘conversion therapy' is available in hospitals and Vincent's homophobic family is not above resorting to it.

It falls to Mike to seek a cure for the real demon that haunts Vincent. A story unfolds of a world of prejudice where Vincent tried to walk a tightrope, but fell.

Philippe Pascal has written a dramatic exploration of the price of faith and its effects upon those who have to pay it.
