When a professional disaster strikes and a reputable London theatre impresario loses his shirt, he and his somewhat 'unconventional' family are forced to downsize and find another much cheaper house. They discover an early 16th-century Yeoman's house hidden in a remote village in Lincolnshire. But there are secrets within the house, and their son, a natural medium, unwittingly opens a portal that lets evil in, endangering not only their lives but that of humanity. It becomes a race against time to stop the dark forces from carrying out their plan.

It is said that Crete has a new author to follow in the
footsteps of Nikos Katzanzakis - (Zorba the Greek)
Having left Cambridge, Antony worked and trained in
learning disabilities and autism first for Bradford Council.
He was taken on to form a specialised unit within the NHS,
Care Trust in Yorkshire, focusing on communication skills.
When the service moved into the private sector, Antony
made the decision to move abroad to Greece to focus on his
other passion - writing. Katzanzakis spent much of his life
outside Greece but claimed that he carried his island (Crete)
with him. Antony Sulayman, who is part Dutch and part
English, feels that Crete has adopted him as a son. His
writing is heavily influenced by the culture and nature of
the people. He is gay and a Muslim, and this is also reflected
in his work. It took him eight years of dedicated effort to
feel he had mastered the craft before sending anything to be
read. The genre he excels in is the dystopian novel.
