Clare Elson & Sue Prosser

I am a primary teacher and enjoy teaching using art, music, drama and singing. The arts help to motivate children to write. After many years of enjoying reading other author's books, I have finally fulfilled the promise to myself and my family to write my own story. This story is inspired by the happy memories I have of playing in my family's garden with my younger brother and my pets. My parents taught me from an early age to love and respect the trees and plants. Now having my own garden, I love the surprise of finding plants I didn't know were there. I love visiting book shops and garden centres so hopefully my story combines my two interests. I can find it hard to keep up with the weeding so I love to have a rest by sitting in the garden with a cup of tea and slice of cake. I would love to see my story being used in classrooms to help writers and future gardeners, or thinking parents may be reading it to their child in the garden. I hope you enjoy this story and are waiting for more to come.
