About Book

Born in Bangladesh, Shukdeb Sen lived for a while in India before emigrating to the USA, where he enjoyed a long and successful career in teaching, research, and mentoring undergraduate students at several colleges and universities in the southern states. During his career in education he published many research articles in scientific journals and published his first non-fiction book Black Education in White America in 2018.
Flower Still Blooms, his first published work of fiction, is a collection of short stories written over a fifteen-year period. The stories describe many aspects of the human experience. Magda describes how a Budapest prostitute's life is changed by kindness and compassion shown by a stranger; a chance encounter on the train reveals one man's horrific experiences in Dachau concentration camp.
Flower Still Blooms is a collection of stories that can move you to tears of both despair and joy, a wonderful fiction debut for Shukdeb Sen.
