Sara Disalvo is a London-based counsellor and wellbeing practitioner - she started writing this book to work through the struggles she was feeling at a very important time in her life. Made up of diary entries spanning two years, Disalvo bares her soul as she works on coming to terms with her life, her divorce, her occupation, and her love for herself. Some days are harder than others of course - there are days that one feels lost and looks around for the comfort that used to be taken for granted, but there are other days where one feels like the world is there for the taking. Disalvo takes us through all those highs and all those lows in a starkly relatable account of what it feels like to take control of your life and to "start again".

Based in London, Sara Disalvo works mainly as a Wellbeing Practitioner with young people and families. She works both on a one-to-one basis and runs workshops and webinars as part of the offer. Alongside this, she runs her private counselling practice, working with adults, young people and couples. She also has experience in teaching counselling courses, something she is currently taking a break from due to daily work commitments. She is very fortunate as she loves her work and life itself, always seeking new ventures and experiences. Life balance is very important for her, so even though she works very hard, time with her immediate family and friends is essential. She also loves spending time with her dog, they can often be found walking on the beach or a country park somewhere. Or having a glass of wine and dinner in the pub.
