About Book

Tens of thousands, gone in an instant. From football stadia, religious pilgrimages, wherever people are gathered, vast numbers disappear without a trace. Taken captive by ant-shaped robots serving their masters from Planet Howl, where ants reign supreme in an ordered society and where the few humans that survive have to learn that the brain of the ant and its sense of collective responsibility are more complex and powerful than they could ever conceive. The ants are pursuing an urgent ecological agenda on behalf of their species and all other species that are endangered on the Blue Planet, Earth.
Four humans Olga, Johann, Souad and Abdul are chosen to help realise the ants' plan to restart human society for the benefit of all life forms. Nothing less than the survival of Planet Earth with a sustainable future is at stake and it will not be without considerable cost.
This is an allegory for these times. It does not have the timeless quality of the justly esteemed allegory Gulliver's Travels But, in the 2020s, it has an urgency and an underlying gravity. There is so little time to achieve so much.
