six children. At the age of fifty a dream came true to her as she completed a degree in English language and went on to tutor speakers of other languages. In 2010 with the children grown up, she and her Glaswegian born husband relocated. Sadly he passed away in 2017 and Nicola found a great deal of comfort as her imagination erupted into a torrent of stories and illustrations. And so she has continued.
Annastasia. A little girl with a lot of hair and a lot of attitude.
Her thick dark tresses the envy of the Island of Ong. Lovingly tended to by the queen's gifted fingers. With a brother willing to climb mountains to keep his sister's hair looking beautiful. Even Granny's tears play their part. The king is too busy eating his favourite jam crepes, to worry about the conundrums of his family and his daughters hair. Did you say four legged chickens? Sorry the secret is unveiled in the following book. Annastasia's Hair is the first in a succession of books on the adventures of her and her brother, Tong. There will be little time for her tresses.
But we have to start somewhere so her thick tresses are as good a place as any.
