Meg McHardy is an expat living in Scotland with her husband, daughter, stepdaughters and dog.

She has been writing prose and poetry passionately since she was a very young girl in South Louisiana, USA, after she won the Young Author's Award for fiction.

Meg is inspired by history, literature, art and music. She is a dreamer, a traveller and a poet. She embraces life and yearns to capture its tragic beauty through her writing and photography. She is an old soul finding her way in this wondrous world.

About Book

The things that could have been
repeat in my mind.
These memories
scream and cling
as if I would leave them behind.

Meg McHardy's stunning collection of poetry takes us on a candid journey through life's experiences of love. The moods move through pain and despair to anger and resignation; from resentment and bitterness to longing, desire and lust; from contemplation to hope and a healing of the heart.

Mended from the mortal wounds
that left scars for no one to see.
Bones snapped by verbal shrapnel.
Love was the balm that healed me.
