I am the middle of five children of artistic parents. I am forty-nine years old and have had a love affair with books and words for as long as I can remember. I wanted to write and illustrate a book that children would enjoy but that would hopefully remind them to have ‘kind hands' and a ‘gentle voice' when dealing with others and when judging themselves. I live in a beautiful hamlet in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, with my husband Kamlesh.
