Ali had no idea that a casual chat with someone was going to affect her so much in the future. How does Adrian Smythe know about her (innocent) activities on the dark web, and why on earth does he seem to think that she can help him with what seems to be some sort of national security emergency?
Ali's curiosity, as well as her patriotism, are both appealed to. She finds herself agreeing to help Adrian by looking into the activities of a group of plotters making a powerful bomb, capable of killing thousands of people. Lynne Pearson's fast-moving thriller is a tale of conspiracy and detection which will keep readers captivated to the very last page.

I married young and travelled the world for over twenty years with my soldier husband. Jobs early in my marriage ranged from cleaning in a hospital for people with mental disabilities, through to secretarial jobs. Then I took four years out to achieve a BSc Hons (2:1) in Information and Communication Technology and Maths, and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (Primary). I then took up a new career in teaching, culminating in a headship.
Retirement now gives me time to write, swim, do tai chi and attend many groups on offer with the University of the Third Age (U3A) and produce a bi?monthly newsletter for over six hundred members.
