Meet the Healthscare Library team again - this time they're in real trouble! The formidable Claire Twinsett takes the lead while Simon the library manager is away, and the hospital's Powers that Be decide that the library is the department which they can close down without anyone protesting. The valiant library team have their own quirky ways of fighting for their existence and even have time to carry out a bit of citizen science in between. But a lot of paper will flow out of the temperamental photocopier/printer (sorry, the multifunction device) before the library is safe again, and by that time we can sincerely wish the Chief Executive Officer a speedy recovery...
This novel is an independent sequel to Two Point Five Cheers for the Library, with a closer look into some characters' home lives as well as their professional activities. Thanks to the short chapters, the book makes particularly suitable reading if you're a busy parent, a commuter, or recuperating from an illness - but you'll be reluctant to put it down!
