Julia was born in Russia and educated at the Kazan State Pedagogical University (Music Department) where she studied piano, theory and history of music, singing and conducting. In 2002, Julia went
on to complete a PhD in music education, while giving lectures
on the history of music. Soon after that, she moved to England. Julia has taught for many years and now has more than twenty years' experience working as a piano and theory of music tutor in England. Her teaching has kept her busy and she has never missed an opportunity to popularise Russian classical music among a wide audience of musicians.
