Strange Planet by Nathan W Pyle | Review

With Christmas coming up and empty stockings staring at us, we turned our thoughts to potential gifts small and big. If you’re looking for a pint-size gift for a child, teen even your great nana – don’t look to the skies look at this book!

What we want from a book is something gorgeous to look at, that entertains us and others and looks pretty and proud on our bookshelf. Strange Planet does exactly that. In the style of a comic but presented as a coffee table book, it’s just a delight. The colour scheme is very pleasing to the eye and the way it’s written is hilarious. Think of it as aliens in place of humans and how they would react and adopt a satirical look at E.T, shall we say?

Each page comes with a situation the cute aliens find themselves in and they respond with a lack of tact, brutal honesty, and what us humans would perceive as poor social skills but they see as the norm! Communication between the strange beings is formal and to the point which makes it all the funnier. They get confused over a cat and its function, call a fridge a substance provider and constantly display affection that makes us feel warm and fuzzy.

If you’re looking for a feel-good book that looks as good as it makes you feel. We would highly recommend this read. It’s one of those books that you can come back to and show your friends and family. We have already sent pictures of multiple pages to our friends that will relate to that particular page.

Highly recommend, enjoyed muchly.
