Every year, Charlotte Sebag-Montefiore writes a lovely Halloween poem for us, here is hers for this year's spooky season!

The season's turn, the nights draw in,

the witches fly on past,

their broomsticks twirling in the air…

It’s Hallowe’en at last!

Do not stay behind at school.

A witch could come and snatch you,

as you are walking home alone,

they might fly past and catch you!

It is the hour when no-one

knows what they will do.

But it will be a trick, no treat,

they have in mind for you!

So shut the windows, shut the doors

and draw the curtains tight.

They you’ll be safe from witches

on this dark Hallowe’en night!
