Last week was Book Lovers Day! Which, lets be honest, is every day to us.

 

There are so many benefits to reading, but we wanted to round it up and just name a few, so without further ado, here we go!

 

 

  • Reading helps us learn. It doesn’t even have to be an educational style book, we pick up on new words, life lessons and learn compassion.
  • It's also great mental stimulation. It can slow or even prevent Alzheimer’s and Dementia, since its keeping your brain active. Your brain needs a workout and books are like going to the gym.
  • It’s also proven to help you to relax. Yoga is great, but so are books!
  • It can make one more empathetic.
  • Its also a great thing to do before you go to bed as it can help you to have a better sleep!
