Sean Anson

Born and raised in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. It was at secondary school where I discovered a love of history, especially war history, firstly in classics lessons with the stories of Homer's Odyssey and then in history where I was introduced to the epic raiding voyage of the SMS Emden in the Indian Ocean. From these small beginnings I began to read historical and fictional work mostly set in the Second World War and discovered true stories of amazing acts of bravery and valour. Through one of my many research books I came across the CAC Boomerang and the amazing story of its inception as an emergency fighter. My story is fiction and to the many brave men who fought in the campaigns included, I give my utmost respect and hope that I have written words worthy of their bravery.
