Rindala Awad was born in 1978 in Beirut during the civil war, where she grew up, before emigrating from Lebanon to Canada at the age of nine. She obtained her masters in architecture from McGill University in Montreal, then began a career that carried her out from the destruction she lived through in Lebanon towards the imagination and the creation of incredible forms and buildings. Through this novel, she shares with us a sensible story of her path and her origins.
