Pauline Summerhayes spent her formative years in Whitby, before reading French and Russian at Leeds University. Much of her work reflects a life-long love of illustrated children’s books, and is part of her family’s continuum of inter-generational artistic creativity that spans music, woodcarving, poetry and the visual arts.
