Michael H. Mitias

Michael H. Mitias is a retired professor of philosophy. He taught at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, U.S.A., from 1967 to 1999. Then he taught at Kuwait University until 2004. His main interest is theory of values. Literature is the love of his life. In addition to numerous philosophical articles, several books he edited in aesthetics, political philosophy, ethics, and philosophy of religion, he authored the following books: What Makes an Experience Aesthetic?, Moral Foundation of the State, Love Letters, My Father the Immigrant, Seeking God, Friendship, and Justice under the Ax of the Absurd. His novel, Tears of Love, is forthcoming.
