Melanie Eitelman

Melanie Margaret Eitelman, born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, USA, has two little Irish dancers who are girls and two little boys. She has an Irish great grandfather who came over on the boat from County Cork and sailed into Ellis Island. She has lived and taught Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in Windsor, England, 4th grade in Leesburg, VA and English in Silver Spring, Maryland to children of all ages. She is a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and RBWG, (Rehoboth Beach Writer's Guild) and is becoming a children's literacy advocate. She has earned an Honor Roll Recognition 2019 at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C.. She has a B.A. in Communication and has audited a masters class in Emergent Language and Literature as well as earned a TESOL certificate. She enjoys collecting seashells on the beach with her daughters, is a Washington D.C. Capitals fan, a NY Mets fan and likes aquatics therapy. She lives in Laurel, Maryland, USA with her family.
