Mary B. Flintoff

Mary B. Flintoff

Mary Flintoff was born and raised in York and developed a love of history. She became a teacher and taught in England and Ireland. When in Dublin, she worked with people with physical disabilities and was an athletics coach at Paralympics and World Championships. On retirement she and her husband Lionel returned to live in Derbyshire and enjoy the delights of the Peak District. This gave her more time to write. Mary's work includes poems, short stories and travel writing. This is her first work for children and is based on research into the York Mystery Plays.
