D. Oudit is a British author of Trinidadian heritage. He grew up in a large family, experiencing privilege as well as poverty. As a surgeon for more than twenty years, he has practised in various contrasting environments, each with their own individual emotional challenges. He has been a first-hand witness to a wide range of expressions of human emotions played out in real life, from the sparkle in the eyes of a newborn to the desperate plea of the dying on their last breath - and all the shades of grey in between. He captures some of this in his tale.
