Christopher Shaw

Christopher Shaw is a retired Chartered Surveyor who has
continually lived in part of Castle Mill, Linby or its surrounding
buildings from the age of four to the present day apart from seven
years spent in Nottingham immediately after marrying his wife,
Teresa. They have two children, Daniel and Melanie. Christopher
initially worked in private practice but most of his career was
spent in the Valuation Office in Nottingham. He worked
continuously from 1971 to 2009 when both he and Teresa retired.
Following the death of his father in 1977, he took over much of
his family's responsibility at Castle Mill. The above photograph
of the author was taken at around the time of the signing of the
Deed of Partition.
