Bernard Philips

Bernard Philips

Bernard was born at 111 Peel Rd, Bootle, Liverpool, England. At age sixteen, he left home and joined H.M. Forces Royal Corps of Signals. After a twelve year service which included duties in several countries around the world he resigned his service and immigrated to Toronto Canada. Where he still lives. From 2001-2007 he lived and worked in Europe, where most of the action for this current book took place. Opposite 111 Peel Rd there used to be a row of houses but they may well have been bombed out of existence during WW11. The space created by this devastation has been turned into a park, aptly named Poets Park. Bernard is a lifelong Evertonian having seen his first game at Goodison Park on the 28th April 1956 against Vasco de Garma, Everton won 6-3. Bernard continues to live in Toronto. Canada. By Way Of The Moon is Bernard`s first published work.
