Connect with one of our editors on #AskOlympiaEditor
Every so often one of our editors will connect online with our growing audience. Whether you’re a writer, illustrator, or just interested in the publishing industry, you will be able to speak with us through our online channels as we host regular Q&A sessions throughout the year.
Keep an eye on our social media or this page to find out where and when the next one will be.
In the meantime, you can read some of the questions and topics that have been discussed in our #AskOlympiaEditor sessions so far.

Please send the work to us in either Microsoft Word or PDF format. Ideally, we need this in one single, fluid file. Please do not send multiple emails with multiple attachments.
You should be able to send us everything we need with one attach - ment, and the synopsis and covering letter can be contained within the body of the email.
For more information, please read our
submission guidelines.
Although we are open to considering most genres we unfortunately can't accept academic or foreign language works. A quick Google search will lead you to more specialist publishers for these genres.
This question can be complex with editorial, production, and marketing all being aspects of the process. If you have just submitted to us, the extended publishing process may not be overly important at this early stage.
Should your work be accepted, we provide an in-depth explanation of our process. If you have a specific question you'd like to ask such as ‘Do you sell via Waterstones?’ or ‘Do you distribute worldwide?’, then please feel free to contact us.
(The answer to both of those questions is ‘Yes’, by the way.)
Should the work be accepted for publi - cation, these processes will, of course, be undertaken during the production process.
We are only able to consider one sub - mission at a time during the editorial process; any further work will be put on hold until the first submission has been reviewed.
Not necessarily. However, we would advise having a friend look over your work before you submit.
If your work is accepted for publication it will always be proof-read, copy-edited and reviewed during the production process.
No. We are not marking or writing on your manuscript during the early stages of the process, we are simply reading and evaluating your work for publication.
Although we welcome questions, we do not accept submissions over the telephone. Please refer to our submission guidelines page for all the information you need to get the ball rolling.
